Overall a good tour, just hard when you go during the busy times (June - August) as the top tourist spots are crowded.
Our Viator tours in Venice and of the Vatican were better. Lastly, even though we booked this tour through Viator, the group that actually ran the tour was City Wonders? So it appears Viator sublets out the tours in some cases. We ended up waiting close to 40 minutes for them to get through the line and security, so that was very unusual that the tour was split up due to a ticket issue. She was pretty soft spoken so a little hard to hear, but part of the problem was there was hundreds of other tour group that we are constantly walking past and through our group, so you were always hearing chatter from other parties while our guide was speaking.Īlso, there was a mix up with the tickets to actually enter the Colosseum, so a group of 9 of us were instructed to enter the Colosseum first with an alternate guide, and then we were told to wait inside the Colosseum until our original guide and the other 15 members of the tour group came in. Our English speaking guide did the best she could, but it was a crowded day and we had a 24 people in our tour. Your tour ends with a visit to the Roman Forum, as described in the standard tour.
